Technology project

IUNOCARE

Technology for newborn care.

A project developing a wearable system for monitoring a baby’s condition, with a mobile app and a digital data processing platform.

A mother beside her sleeping baby, who is wearing the IUNOCARE tracker sock

What it is

A technology ecosystem that brings together a wearable device, baby monitor functions, a mobile app and a cloud platform.

The tracker sock on the baby’s foot measures temperature, heart rate, oxygen level, breathing cycles and body position. The base station in the room monitors air temperature and humidity, recognises crying and turns on white noise. The data is sent to the parents’ mobile app.

The system keeps parents informed about their baby’s wellbeing and is not a medical device: it is not intended for diagnosis or treatment.

Prospects

An industrial version of the product has not yet been created. The next stage of development is to build it, which requires additional investment.

Business model: initially, sales of the device and a subscription for parents; later, services and analytics solutions for healthcare institutions, research organisations and other professional partners.
